Character Concept Sketches Reluctant Prince and the Good Witch

Since I’ve been spending a lot of time working on RecipeLuv, I’ve unfortunately neglected this blog a bit. If you love cooking, then you don’t want to miss my recent posts on the RecipeLuv blog! Tomorrow is all about chocolate mousse recipes, so be sure to visit. To make up for my absence, I thought I would share some of the sketching I’ve been doing in the evening.

The comic script version of The Reluctant Prince and the Good Witch is coming along, so I’m working on character and environment concept designs whenever I can. I just posted an excerpt in the Stories section. Give it a read, and let me know what you think! These are some more character concept sketches for Jessica, the good witch. I still can’t decide on the right costume for her at the start of the story.

Environment Concept Sketch Hercules the Cat

I also did this quick sketch of Hercules, the witch’s cat, enjoying the afternoon sun in their cottage. Next up? Some armor designs for the reluctant prince. If anyone knows a good source for pictures of medieval armor, let me know! Pinterest has been helpful so far.

Dancing with the Stars Sketches

For a little life drawing practice, I grabbed some screenshots of Dancing with the Stars, and these are my favorite sketches. The dancers strike some great interesting poses during their routines. What’s your favorite source for unique poses to draw?
